Could it be possible that an idea that was previously botched beyond belief is seeing a resurgence in popularity? Yes. For those that have already forgotten, the original contentious Hawaii Superferry began operating without adequate Environmental Impact Reports, which subsequently ended in our ferries being sold and the idea sunk. […]
Here are some serious reasons why you should never, ever think to take a vacation in Maui. By Danielle Miller Why would you want to go to an exotic island in the pacific when you can stay on your couch in your living room doing the same old, same old? […]

That’s right! Mokulele Airlines is flying twice-daily from Kahului Airport (OGG) to Hana (HNM) beginning October 1st, 2012. Visitors to Maui will be able to enjoy spectacular views aboard a 9 seat Cessna Grand Caravan 208B on a short flight to and from Hana for only $59/each way. This is a great deal for both local residents and visiting travelers that aren’t already doing a Road to Hana tour. Some advantages of flying rather than driving are: […]
Hana’s Hamoa Beach – Ancient Sailing Port by Douglas Bowser As a professional photographer living on Maui for the last 16 years, I feel so lucky to have seen so many different areas of this amazing island. Many of these regions like Hamoa Beach, are always making some top 5 list, and are of course beautiful. But Hamoa is so small compared to many Maui beaches, and unlike the larger and more well-known ones located on the south and west sides of the island, Hamoa is small and hard to find. Hamoa has a small pavilion and a few chairs put out by Hotel Hana and access is a steep path coming down from a narrow road with little parking. I had little appreciation for it until I went out on a Hana tour and learned the stories of this area from a local tour driver. THE BEST Maui, Hawaii, USA $85/hour We’ve been testing out massage parlors on Maui for years now. Most are outrageously expensive (ex. at the big resorts.) But we just found one that does incredible massages for a decent price. Massage Maui in front of the Sugar Beach Resort is outstanding. The location is great because it’s easily accessible for anyone on the south side (Makena, Wailea, Kihei), not more than 30-45 minutes from the West side (Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kapalua), and a short hop from the North side (Kahului, Wailuku, Paia.) […]

Our latest discovery has been Family Flix, a Mom and Pop video editing company that specializes in putting together Family and Vacation video footage on DVD. We've traveled on Island Air many times, which is our fault. They often have the lower prices, and that's what sucks us in. Never again will any of us fly between any Hawaiian Islands with Island Air. HISTORY In the past, we've flown with Island Air and incurred long delays lasting up to 6 hours! [...]
After many difficulties, the Hawaii Superferry has finally been put to rest... for now.
