Here are some photos from a wedding on the Pride of Maui taken by Natalie Brown Photography. The wedding ceremony was performed at a private residence in Kihei, south Maui, then the reception was held on the boat. Leaving from Maalaea Harbor, the Pride of Maui cruised along the coast making for some great photos and excellent memories. […]
There’s good reason why so many people choose to get married on Maui each year. Because of the heavy flow of business, Maui wedding vendors are in no short supply. This is why it’s important to choose very carefully who you decide go with when picking caterer, wedding planner, photographer, DJ, officiant, and much more. This is the beginning of a serious of posts about weddings where we’ll discuss our favorites, starting with photographer. […]
Planning a destination wedding anywhere can be stressful. How do you know if a particular vendor is worth booking? Example: Is this florist really professional and trustworthy or are they smoking half of what they grow? […]
We’ve already discussed some fun Maui proposal ideas, but here’s another one that is truly unique. Why not get engaged on a private cruise? Surprise your lady by chartering an inexpensive private catamaran for your big moment! […]
How to Propose in Maui Hawaii
I’ve been asked many times how one can propose marriage creatively on our island. I tell my own story, and then give suggestions. It’s time to share this with everyone.
How I Proposed to my wife on Maui
We live here, so I felt that I needed to do more than just walk down the beach and propose (though it would have sufficed.) I rented a beautiful house in Hana and told my girlfriend that I’m taking her camping in Hana. […]
We love this wedding because of the high-level of style. Everything from table settings to her magnificent dress had thought behind it. Not only was this couple creative, good-looking and fun to be around, they have style oozing out of every pore. Thank you Natalie, for sharing your photos with us yet again. We love looking at them and we hope you’ll continue to send them to us.

We attended a recent wedding on the water that was perfect and merits the “Classic Maui Wedding” award. The ceremony was on the water, next to a pool, where shortly afterwards 2 bars were opened up to us. The pupus were delicious and the drinks strong. Dinner was great too and was served in a spacious indoor room. The ceilings were vaulted and the ocean view was still intact. Everyone had a great time as we ended the night partying, dancing, and singing the night away.

We’ve been testing out massage parlors on Maui for years now. Most are outrageously expensive (ex. at the big resorts.) But we just found one that does incredible massages for a decent price. Massage Maui in front of the Sugar Beach Resort is outstanding.
The location is great because it’s easily accessible for anyone on the south side (Makena, Wailea, Kihei), not more than 30-45 minutes from the West side (Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kapalua), and a short hop from the North side (Kahului, Wailuku, Paia.) […]
We wanted to share some fun photos from a recent wedding at the Olowalu Plantation in West Maui. This wedding was catered by Maui Executive Catering. They had world-famous Teppanyaki Master Chef Chris at this event. Chef Chris is amazing at the art of Teppanyaki Japanese Cuisine. He recently joined […]

Recently, a few of us had the opportunity to attend a beautiful wedding at the Sugarman’s Estate in Makena, South Maui. Everything went off without a hitch and we thought we’d mention some of the highlights.
This is one of the most beautiful properties on the island, and we we’re overjoyed in being able to spend […]
Beginning this Month, August 2008, The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) has made it mandatory for Beach Weddings on Maui to require a permit. And after much initial confusion and frustration within the wedding industry, permitting has begun with surprising ease.
